
An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale jolted surrounding area of Gallehdar in mid-south province of Fars in Iran, according to Iran’s (IRNA) News Agency.According to a report released by the Seismography Center of Tehran Universitys Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred on Tuesday evening and its epicenter was at 27.84 degrees latitude and 52.69 degrees longitude and in depth of 10 kilometers.Director General of Fars Province Crisis Center Hassan Fayyazpour said later that there was no damage in the stricken area.
