After the success of the 2014 event coordinated by Bonhams, Daimler is set to hold another exclusive car auction, which will take place on March 28, 2015 at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany.
While it remains to be seen which models will go under the hammer in 2015, the sale will likely be similar to the first one held at the Mercedes museum in July 2014. During this event, around 40 of the brand's most emblematic cars were auctioned off by Bonhams, including a 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL "Gullwing" and a 1934 500K, bringing in total revenues of close to €12 million (around $14.6 million).
On July 12, 2013, Bonhams carried off its highest car sale yet during an auction taking place outside of the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Mercedes W196 driven by Juan-Manuel Fangio to victory in the F1 World Cup in 1954 sold for no less than £19.6 million (around $33 million).
