First Aid for Fairies and Other Fabled Beasts by Lari Don

This is an adventure book about a quest to find a book! The main characters are a girl called Helen, a centaur called Yann, a fairy called Lavender, a selkie called Rona, a dragon called Sapphire and some bad guys, one of which is a minotaur called The Master of The Maze. Helen is a fiddler and she is doing a Christmas Eve concert soon, and she has to find a piece of music that is right for her. Then she meets the others and helps them on their quest for the book, as their healer. She and Rona make the music along the way. It is a great book and I would recommend it for anyone over 8 (there are some hard words in it), especially adventure-holics! There is a second book in this series called Wolf Notes and Other Musical Mishaps which I haven't finished but like so far.
