Hollywood's Sony Pictures bought the film rights to Facebook executive Sheryl Sandberg's book "Lean In: Women, Work, And the Will to Lead," Deadline reported. The acquisition is the second Facebook tie-in for Sony Pictures, which produced the Academy Award-nominated "The Social Network," about Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of the social media website. Veteran television writer and director Nell Scovell is set to write the screenplay, based on Sandberg's 2013 book, which focuses on the inequities between how men and women are treated in the workplace, Deadline reported Friday. Scovell will create a narrative for film from themes contained within the book. Sandberg is set to donate her proceeds from the project to her foundation, the report said.
