Lebanon hostages freed in Syria return to Beirut

Nine Lebanese Shiites released by rebels in Syria as part of an exchange deal after being held hostage for 17 months flew home from Turkey on Saturday, AFP correspondents said. Scores of Lebanese government officials as well as family members were on hand to welcome the group as they landed at Beirut's international airport on a plane from Istanbul, hours after state media reported the release of two Turkish Airlines pilots seized in the Lebanese capital in August.
