Greece's statistics agency said the country's economy grew slightly faster than earlier forecast in the second quarter of the year, AP reported.
The statistics agency said Friday the economy grew 0.9 percent compared to the first three months of the year, faster than 0.8 percent the previously estimated.
It said that, according to seasonally adjusted data, the economy grew by 1.6 percent compared with the same quarter last year. That is slightly higher than the initial estimate of 1.4 percent.
The revision was due to new data not available earlier.
The growth figures are good news for financially troubled Greece, which recently reached a deal on its third international bailout and is heading to early elections next month.
