Ukraine hopes to receive a third and a fourth tranche by the end of 2015 under a four-year bailout program of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the governor of the country's central bank said Wednesday.
Valeria Gontareva told heads of Ukrainian banks that Ukraine hopes to fulfill IMF's criteria and get the third tranche.
Ukraine is also counting on receiving the fourth tranche under the 17.5-billion-U.S.-dollar IMF aid package to replenish its foreign exchange reserves, she added without giving details on the sum of the disbursements.
Since mid-March, Ukraine has received a total of 6.7 billion U.S. dollars from the global lender's two trenches of the aid program.
Ukraine has used the funds to supplement its budget, boost foreign exchange reserves and shore up the local currency.
