Aluminum Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba)'s sponsorship of Invest in Bahrain forum which took place at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre last Wednesday, November 7, 2012 was a tangible demonstration of the company's recognition of Bahrain's continuing role as a regional magnet for investments and a pioneer in investor friendly policies. The Invest in Bahrain forum was organized under the kind patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister. This forum was backed by United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), the Economic Development Board of Bahrain (EDB), Tamkeen, the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI), and the Federation of GCC Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Commenting on Alba's sponsorship of the Invest in Bahrain forum, the Chairman of Alba's Board of Directors, Mahmood Hashim Al Kooheji, said, "The story of Alba's success and its transformation into the world's fourth largest single site aluminum smelter remains one of the best possible examples of how Bahrain's investor friendly economic policies have delivered results. Bahrain's leadership have played an inspiring role in developing the framework of a strong, modern and competitive industrial state that's ranked amongst one of the world's freest economies. It is definitely Alba's success story that provides the key incentive for our support for Invest in Bahrain forum." The Invest in Bahrain forum will look into some of the best investment opportunities to include keynote speeches from leading dignitaries from the government, business and the financial sector. It also showcased key incentives provided to investors in setting-up a base in Bahrain. (IY)
