
Qatar Foundation Research and Development unit president Faisal al-Suwaidi and ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company president Sara Ortwein met at the QF Annual Research Forum here. Ortwein also serves as the president of ExxonMobil Research Qatar (EMRQ), one of the first anchor tenants to open its doors at the Qatar Science and Technology Park. With a commitment to invest more than QR218mn through 2014, scientists and researchers at EMRQ are supporting QF’s goal of advancing science and technology through various research programmes related to environmental management, water reuse, LNG safety and coastal geology. Bart Cahir, president and general manager of ExxonMobil Qatar, Saleh al-Mana, vice president and director of Government and Public Affairs and Dr Andrew Wigton, director of EMRQ were also present.
