
Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Company (Tasweeq) has made a humanitarian donation towards the relief efforts of displaced people in the Rakhine State of Myanmar, the Qatari company said Monday. The aid is part of Tasweeq’s Corporate Social Responsibility. Tasweeq Executive Director-Administration Abdulla Al Abdulmalek presented the donation to Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani for Humanitarian Services (RAF) Foundation General Manager Aize Debsan Al Qahtani. RAF is helping the humanitarian efforts in Myanmar. The preliminary findings of the assessments conducted by the United Nations indicate that the region needs urgent support of food supplies, health, shelter, water sanitation and hygiene. Tasweeq was incorporated in July 2007 as an independent company wholly-owned by the State of Qatar. It aims to be the world’s top petroleum marketing company and delivers Regulated Products exported from Qatar, such as liquid petroleum gas (LPG), condensate products, Sulphur and refined products such as naphtha, motor gasoline jet fuel and most recently GTL Naphtha- a high quality product produced from Pearl GTL, the world’s largest Gas-To-Liquids plant located in Qatar.
