Woqod will open new service stations later this year in locations like Umm Salal East, North Hamama -Mesaieed truck road and Abu Samra. The company’s Vice Chairman and Managing Director Mohamed Turki al-Subaie revealed this while opening a new station in Lekhdaira, about 60kms north of The Landmark on the Shamal Expressway. The new service station at Lekhdaira offers a mix of products and services for the travellers on the main north highway. “In designing this service station, we took into account the varied needs of the different types of customers who use the place,” said al-Subaie. “Besides selling gasoline and diesel for motorists, the station also offers a special lane for fuelling trucks with high speed dispensers and a drive through shop for truck drivers. We also have a large Sidra convenience store with a safe playground in its rear for children,” he said. An array of hot and cold beverages and fast food are available at the shop. The site includes car wash, tyre bays and basic vehicle maintenance. More eateries and a pharmacy will soon be opened. Lekhdaira is the 18th service station of Woqod and the company is currently planning 11 more service stations.
