Main index of Amman Stock Exchange gained 21.5 points in sessions of the past three days and daily trade also posted gains amounting to 112 points during the past week transactions, according to weekly figures of the bourse, publicized on Friday. Benchmark for the week closing rose to 1,988.1 points, compared with 1,966. 6 points of the previous week, an increase of 1.09 percent. As to sectors, the main index of the financial sector increased 1.4 percent, that of the industries dropped 0.56 percent and that of the services moved up 1.3 percent. Volume of daily trading amounted to approximately USD 28.6 million, compared with USD 13.5 million the week before; with an increase proportion of 112 percent. Overall volume of trade of the week stood at some USD 86.1 million, in contrast to USD 54.2 million the week before. Number of traded shares reached 42.6 million, done through 12,441 deals. As to sectors' contributions in volume of trade, financial sector came first, 50 percent of the overall trade, followed by industries, 37.5 percent, and lastly services, 12.5 percent. Comparing prices of closing of trading companies, amounting to 172, with previous closing, stock price of 87 ones rose and those of 54 others dropped.
