
Amman Stock Exchange continued dropping in past week trading by losing 19.3 points, according to figures of the bourse on Friday. Benchmark for the week closing dropped to 1966.8 points, compared with 1986. 1 points of the previous week, a decrease of 0.97 percent. As to sectors, the main index of the financial sector dropped 1.02 percent, the services decreased 0.46 percent, and the industries lost 0.91 percent. Volume of daily trading amounted to approximately USD 11.5 million, compared with USD 23.4 million the week before; with a cut proportion of 50.5 percent. Overall volume of trades of the week stood at some USD 58 million, in contrast with USD 89 million the week before. Number of traded shares reached 39.2 million, done through 16,826 deals. As to sectors' contributions in volume of trade, financial sector came first, 65.6 percent of the overall trade, followed by services, 14.2 percent, and lastly the industries, 20.2 percent. Comparing prices of closing of trading companies, amounting to 166, with previous closing, stock price of 93 ones dropped and those of 43 others rose.
