
Amman Stock Exchange continued dropping in past week trading by losing 65 points, according to figures of the bourse on Friday. Benchmark for the week closing dropped to 1809.9 points, compared with 1875 points of the previous week, a decrease of 3.47 percent. As to sectors, the main index of the financial sector dropped 2.69 percent, the services decreased 1.1 percent, and the industries lost 0.7 percent. Volume of daily trading amounted to approximately USD 5.7 million, compared with USD 9 million the week before; with a cut proportion of 36.6 percent. Overall volume of trades of the week stood at some USD 29 million, in contrast with USD 36.7 million the week before. Number of traded shares reached 21.3 million, done through 12,072 deals. As to sectors' contributions in volume of trade, financial sector came first, 69.6 percent of the overall trade, followed by services, 16.6 percent, and lastly the industries, 13.8 percent. Comparing prices of closing of trading companies, amounting to 171, with previous closing, stock price of 113 ones dropped and those of 29 others rose.
