Grain futures prices were higher on the Chicago Board of Trade Friday despite a drop in the U.S. dollar index. Corn was up 3/4 to up 5 3/4, soybeans were up 1/4 to up 10 1/2, wheat was up 1 3/4 to up 2 3/4 and oats were up 3/4 to off 1. Positive export data sent grain futures higher but gains were tempered by favorable weather conditions in Argentina and a dip in the U.S. dollar index, which fell 0.58 percent. The prices: Corn: Dec 7.45 1/2 up 4 1/2, Mar 7.49 3/4 up 4 1/2, May 7.46 3/4 up 4 3/4, Jly 7.37 1/2 up 5 3/4. Soybeans: Jan 14.18 3/4 up 10 1/2, Mar 14.03 up 9 1/4, May 13.82 3/4 up 8 1/4, Jly 13.76 1/4 up 8 1/2. Wheat: Dec 8.47 3/4 up 2 1/2, Mar 8.61 1/2 up 1 3/4, May 8.68 up 2, Jly 8.54 1/4 up 2 3/4. Oats: Dec 3.69 off 1, Mar 3.83 up 3/4, May 3.84 3/4 up 1/2 Jly 3.86 1/4 up 1/2.
