he overall Construction Cost Index (CCI) reached 113.26 with an increase of 0.31% in the West Bank during February 2013 compared to January 2013 (base month December 2007=100), according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) report on Sunday. It said that the changes in the CCI for February 2013 are traced back to the changes in the cost of the major construction inputs such as Iron and steel which increased by 0.69% and Ceramic products which decreased by 0.34%. The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 116.88 with an increase of 0.64% in the West Bank during February 2013 compared to January 2013 (base month December 2008=100). The changes in the RCI for February 2013 are traced back to the changes in the cost of the major road inputs, such as raw materials and road paints which increased by 0.99% and 1.55. The increase by 0.52% in the overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) was also included in PCBS’s report. WNCI reached 110.34 in the West Bank in February 2013 compared to January 2013.
