Dollar hovers in upper ¥104 range in early Tokyo deals

The US dollar hovered at the upper 104 yen level early Friday in Tokyo. At 9 a.m., the dollar changed hand at 104.81-83 yen compared with 104.78-88 yen in New York and 104.88-89 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday. The euro was quoted at 1.3607-3607 dollars and 142.62-65 yen against 1.3602-3612 dollars and 142.60-70 yen in New York and 1. 3601-3602 dollars and 142.65-69 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon.
