
The U.S. dollar changed hands just near the 107 yen line for the first time in about one month in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 107.06-07 yen compared with 107.30-40 yen at 11 a.m. Monday in London and 108.08-108.09 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday.
The currency exchange markets in New York and Tokyo were closed for holidays.
The euro fetched 1.2723-2723 dollars and 136.21-22 yen against 1.2675-2685 dollars and 136.10-15 yen in London on Monday and 1. 2666-2668 dollars and 136.90-94 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon.
