The U.S. dollar appreciated against the Japanese yen to the upper 102 yen range in Tokyo early Tuesday, slightly up from its overnight levels in New York.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 102.62-63 yen compared with 102.51-61 yen in New York and 102.47-48 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday.
The euro fetched 1.3360-3361 dollars and 137.10-11 yen against dollars 1.3359-3369 and 137.00-10 yen in New York and dollar 1. 3385-3387 and 137.16-20 yen in Tokyo late Monday afternoon.
