The U.S. dollar traded above 101 yen early Friday in Tokyo after the release of mixed Japanese economic data. At 9 a.m.local time, the dollar fetched 101.11-16 yen compared with 100.67-77 yen in New York and 100.83-84 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. local time on Thursday. The euro was quoted at 1.3041-3043 dollars and 131.85-88 yen against 1.3044-3054 dollars and 131.39-49 yen in New York and 1. 2960-2962 dollars and 130.68-72 yen in Tokyo late Thursday.
