At 9 a.m., the dollar bought 77.00-01 yen compared with 76.97- 77.07 yen in New York and 77.04-05 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday. The euro was quoted at 1.3024-3026 dollars and 100.28-31 yen against 1.3009-3019 dollars and 100.19-29 yen in New York and 1. 2899-2900 dollars and 99.37-41 yen in Tokyo late Monday.
