Dollar trades in lower 98 yen in early Tokyo

The US dollar traded in the lower 98 yen range on Friday morning in Tokyo. At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 98.23-25 yen compared with 98.11-21 yen in New York and 97.70-71 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday. The euro fetched 1.3524-3528 dollars and 132.87-90 yen against 1.3516-3526 dollars and 132.67-77 yen in New York and 1.3497-3498 dollars and 131.87-91 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon.
