
The U.S. dollar traded at the lower 98 yen level early Wednesday in Tokyo, supported by positive U.S. economic data released Tuesday. At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 98.16-17 yen compared with 97.76-86 yen in New York and 97.40-41 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The euro fetched 1.3075-3076 dollars and 128.34-36 yen against 1.3074-3084 dollars and 128.02-12 yen in New York and 1.3142-3143 dollars and 128.01-05 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday afternoon.
