The U.S. dollar trade stayed in the upper 76 yen level in Tokyo early Tuesday, slightly changed from its overnight level in London. At 9 a.m., the dollar traded at 76.82-84 yen against 76.65-75 yen in London at 4 p.m. Monday and 76.82-84 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday. The currency market was closed in New York on Monday due to a national holiday. The euro changed hands at 1.2665-2666 U.S. dollars and 97.30-32 yen versus 1.2658-2660 U.S. dollars and 97.24-28 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday.
