Egypt' bourse continued its upward trend for the second session in a row on Thursday amid optimism that a meeting of the Tax Authority and the Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) would solve the crisis between them. The market capital achieved gains worth 4.3 billion pounds to reach 367.2 billion pounds compared with 362.9 billion pounds on yesterday's trading. The EGX 30 benchmark index rose 1.95 percent to close at 5,356.62 points. The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) inched up by 0.87 percent to 456.90 points. The all-embracing EGX 100 index also increased by 0.9 percent to close at 771.29 points.
