Egypt bourse administration denied on Sunday rumors that its trading systems were hacked, saying the news are totally void of truth.
In a statement Sunday, it said the trading systems are highly protected and confidential.
While going through the mechanisms of securing information systems, the administration discovered that a brokering company logged in to see the outcome of the daily tradings of some other brokering companies using the user name and password of these companies.
The administration immediately suspended the accounts of this violating company and investigations are underway, it said.
It noted that the bourse delivers the user name and password to each brokering company via a closed envelope.
