
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) made profits for the third consecutive session at the close of trading on Thursday amid investors' optimism over expected Gulf investments in Egypt in the upcoming phase. The market capital gained 1.9 billion pounds to reach 408.1 billion pounds after transactions hit about 310 million pounds. The EGX 30 main benchmark index was up 0.81 percent to close at 6,332.13 points. The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) rose 0.59 percent, reaching 525.37 points. The all-embracing EGX 100 index increased 0.59 percent to close at 525.37 points.
