
Egyptian Stock Exchange benchmark Sunday edged up to its highest level since 2011 driven by a remarkable purchase activity from local, Arab and non-Arab foreign investors. The Stock Market daily bulletin showed that the EGX 30 Index rose 0.93 percent to 5,986.8, the highest close since January 27, 2011. The EGX 70 Index for small and medium shares climbed by 0.77 percent to close at 503.54 points and the EGX 100 Index rose by 0.74 percent to close at 850.09 points. The data also showed that the market capitalization have gained 3.1 billion pounds to stand at 393.1 billion pounds. The Egyptian bourse will close from Monday to Sunday for Eid Al-Adha holiday, to start Tuesday
