
Egyptian Stock Exchange benchmark EGX30 rose by 0.43 percent in last week's trades, to reach 5,376 points, while the EGX70 index for small and medium shares rose by 0.91 percent to settle at 429 points. The stock exchange's weekly report said on Friday that EGX100 benchmark went down by 0.03 percent to settle at 733 points, while EGX 20 rose by 0.66 percent to reach 6,243 points. The report showed that the value of trades reached 12.5 billion pounds by trading 350 billion shares through 60,000 transactions, with a total of 1.7 billion pounds' worth of total trades value, and the traded shares reached 492 million shares through 81,000 transactions last week
