Europe's major stock markets declined Monday in opening deals, after a pre-weekend bounce, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.25 percent at 6,428 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 shed 0.03 percent to 10,791.18 points and the Paris CAC 40 lost 0.31 percent compared with Friday's close to 4,908.33 points.
The region's markets had rallied Friday on expectations of further economic stimulus for the eurozone, and after China slashed interest rates to counter the slowdown in the world's second-biggest economy.
