Europe's main stock markets were steady in opening deals on Friday, with London's FTSE 100 benchmark index of leading shares up 0.10 percent at 5,946.62 points. In Paris the CAC 40 gained just 0.03 percent to 3,581.45 points and Frankfurt's DAX 30 won a marginal 0.02 percent to 7,145.78 points. Asian markets traded mixed on Friday as another batch of upbeat US data was tempered by lingering concerns over rising oil prices and China's slowing economy. Wall Street had posted modest gains on Thursday as investors digested a batch of economic data that suggested the US recovery is picking up steam.
