
The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained an advance of 0.19 percent to close at 4187.95 points on Thursday, up 8.07 points.
Investors were cautious today, waiting for the first estimation of the third quarter GDP growth for the eurozone to be published on Friday. By closing, 24 out of the 40 selected companies gained advances.
Today's top three gainers were Alstom, up 2.50 percent, Credit Agricole, up 2.34 percent, and L'Oreal, up 2.21 percent.
The three companies that lost most today were Alcatel-Lucent, down 3.00 percent, Vinci, down 2.48 percent, and Bouygues, down 2.01 percent.
In previous trading day, the CAC 40 experienced a decrease of 1.51 percent, or 64.22 points, to close at 4,179.88 points.
