
The benchmark DAX index at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Friday was little changed and it only added 4.43 points.
The blue-chip index advanced by 0.05 percent and closed at 9252.94 points as data show a 0.1 percent increase of Germany's Gross Domestic Product. The slight increase help Germany shun a recession.
The sport company adidas AG advanced the most by 2.44 percent. Continental AG added 1.44 percent. HeidelbergCement AG and Deutsche Lufthansa AG increased by 1.27 percent and 1.11 percent. Volkswagen AG Vz went up by 0.86 percent.
The two utilities companies still suffered the greatest losses on Friday. RWE AG St and E.ON AG slipped by 1.73 percent and 1.65 percent. The fertilizer company K+S Aktiengesellschaft lost 1.28 percent. Deutsche Post AG went down by 0.94 percent and Bayer AG was down by 0.68 percent
The turnover stood at 2.69 billion euros (around 3.35 billion U.S. dollars). Daimler AG was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 174.41 million euros (around 217.23 million U.S. dollars).
