
The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Tuesday rose slightly and closed at 9,761.47 points.
Rising oil prices partly contributed to the positive development of the blue-chip DAX index, according to local analysts. The DAX index gained 78.48 points, or 0.81 percent.
Allianz climbed by 1.75 percent. Continental rose by 1.57 percent. SAP advanced by 1.53 percent. Muenchener Rueckversicherungs-Gesellschaft, a reinsurance and insurance company, added 1.4 percent. Daimler went up by 1.32 percent.
Vonovia, a real estate company, fell by 2.45 percent. Infineon Technologies, a semiconductor company, lost 1.01 percent. The utilities company RWE dropped by 0.8 percent. Merck, a science and technology company, slipped by 0.67 percent. Deutsche Lufthansa plunged by 0.53 percent.
Daimler was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 208.64 million euros (237.99 million U.S. dollars).
