Gold futures fell Monday, losing $24 to settle at $1,560 per troy ounce, down 1.5 percent, on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Silver lost 65 cents, or 2.2 percent, to end at $28.24 an ounce. The euro fell to $1.2834 from Friday's $1.2917. Against the yen, the dollar fell to 79.86 yen from 79.94 yen. The British pound was $1.6096 from $1.607 Friday. The dollar was 1.0025 Canadian dollars from 1.0006 Canadian. The dollar was 7.7663 against the Hong Kong dollar, from 7.7658 Friday. The Australian dollar was $0.9968 from $1.002.
