Gold prices moved higher Friday on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange as equities were flat on Wall Street. Gold added $3.30 and reached $1,626 per troy ounce. Silver ended at $28.16 per troy ounce, up 66 cents. The euro fell to $1.2254 from Friday's $1.232. Against the yen, the dollar fell to 78.19 yen from 78.45 yen. On the International Exchange, the dollar index, a prorated measure of the dollar compared with six other major currencies, rose 0.27 percent to 82.82. The dollar was mostly lower in Asia, mostly higher in Europe. The British pound fell to $1.571 from $1.5745. The dollar fell to 1.0017 Canadian from 1.0032 Canadian.
