Grain futures prices closed lower on the Chicago Board of Trade Monday, with the dollar index up 00.19 percent on the International Exchange. Corn was off 6 3/4 to off 7 1/4, soybeans were off 18 1/2 to off 21, wheat was off 12 to off 14 3/4 and oats were off 3 3/4 to off 4 3/4. Soybeans led the downturn early Monday, as the dollar rose slightly and equities on Wall Street corrected lower, both of which added to the market's negative tone. Soybeans were off sharply with the USDA's export projection unchanged. The prices: Corn: Mar 7.02 1/4 off 6 3/4, May 7.01 1/2 off 7 1/4, Jly 6.92 off 7, Sep 5.77 1/2 off 7 1/4. Soybeans: Mar 14.31 1/2 off 21, May 14.17 1/4 off 19 1/2, Jly 14.07 off 18 1/2, Aug 13.69 1/4 off 19 1/2. Wheat: Mar 7.41 1/2 off 14 3/4, May 7.49 1/4 off 13 1/4, Jly 7.50 3/4 off 12, Sep 7.59 off 12. Oats: Mar 3.81 off 4 3/4, May 3.72 1/2 off 3 3/4, Jly 3.69 1/2 off 4 3/4, Sep 3.68 3/4 off 4 3/4.
