
The Indian stocks closed lower for a sixth straight day on Tuesday with the 30-scrip sensitive index Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange shedding 209.05 points or 1.02 percent to close at 20,281.91 from the previous close of 20, 490.96. The Sensex opened at 20,510.31 and touched a high of 20,584.22 and a low of 20,262.22. The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange also closed lower at 6.018.05 points, down 60.75 points or 1.00 percent.
