Indices of Egyptian Stock Exchange climbed in past week trading, buoyed by major acquisition deals in sectors of banking and financial services. Market capitals of listed companies rose by 6.3 billion pounds to 383.2 billion pounds, compared with 376.8 billion last week. The main stock index (EGX 30) rose 1.72 percent reaching 5,703. The (EGX 70) index (for small and medium stocks) climbed 3.71 percent, closing at 483. The broader (EGX 100) index also increased, by 2.65 percent, closing at level of 811 points. The (EGX 20) index also rose, by 2.65 percent, closing at 6,647. Value of trades amounted to 3.2 billion, compared with 2.5 billion last week.
