Italian stocks drop 3% as bank shares slump

Italian stocks dropped more than 3.0% on Monday in line with losses elsewhere in Europe as bank shares slumped over concern about Italy's debt. The benchmark FTSE Mib index was down 3.26% at 16,110 points at around 1520 GMT. Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena dropped 7.30%, Intesa Sanpaolo was down 6.89% and UniCredit fell 5.51%.
