Japan stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Fishery, Mining and Rubber sectors led shares lower. At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 lost 1.41%.
The best performers of the session on the Nikkei 225 were Tokuyama Corp. (T:4043), which rose 30.39% or 62.0 points to trade at 266.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Taiheiyo Cement Corp. (T:5233) added 7.17% or 20.0 points to end at 299.0 and Toho Zinc Co., Ltd. (T:5707) was up 7.07% or 20.0 points to 303.0 in late trade.
