KLCI futures higher at midday

The FBM KLCI futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives were higher at midday today despite the cautious sentiment in the underlying cash market, dealers said. March 2012 and April 2012 gained 3.5 points each to 1,576 and 1,574 respectively while June 2012 increased 2.5 points to 1,571.5. Turnover stood at 2,534 lots while open interest totalled 28,496 contracts. The underlying FBM KLCI was 3.48 points higher at 1,577.08.
