
Muscat Securities Market (MSM) "30" index closed at the end of December 2013 at 6834.56 points, registering a rise by 108.27 points (1.61%) compared to November 2013, which closed at 6726.29 points. According to the monthly bulletin issued by Muscat Security Market pointed out that the value of trading during December 2013 stood at 239 million Omani Riyal (RO), constituting a rise by 32.4% compared to the previous month, which stood at RO 181 million. The market value amounted to RO 14.16 billion, constituting a rise by (2.31%) compared to the previous month, which stood at RO 13.83 billion. The value of shares bought by non-Omani investors during December 2013 amounted to RO 37.4 million, comprising 15.65% whilst the value of share sold by non-Omani investors reached RO 31.9 million, comprising 13.34%. The net non-Omani investment rose by 2.3% to RO 5.5 million.
