Pakistan's benchmark stock index, the Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index, fell 0.67 per cent at the close of trade yesterday. The index of 100 companies traded on the Karachi Stock Exchange fell 76.09 to 11,261.95. Among the stocks in the index, 32 rose, 55 fell and 13 were unchanged. Declines in the Karachi Stock Exchange 100 Index were led by Oil & Gas Development Co, Fauji Fertilizer Co Ltd and Hub Power Co. Active stocks Engro Corp Ltd, which fell Rs2.56 to Rs94.00, was the most active stock by value in Pakistan. The next most-active issues were Fauji Fertilizer Co Ltd, which fell Rs2.43 to Rs152.43, and Fatima Fertilizer Co Ltd, which rose to Rs22.70.
