Gold imports into Pakistan fell by 6.57 per cent in the first four months (July-October) of the current fiscal year as compared to the same period last year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The imports of gold during the period under review stood at $58.427 million against the imports of $62.533 million during the same period last year. The overall imports of the metal group registered an increase of 15.83 per cent during July-October as compared to the same period last year, it said. The metal imports during the period under review stood at $105.47 million against imports of $91.05 million during the same period last year.
