The Qatar Exchange was down on Thursday 11.24 points or 0.13% to 8,493.70 points from the previous closing of 8,504.94. The volume of shares traded fell to 3,482,372 from 4,160,864 Wednesday, and the value of shares decreased to QR135,378,972.05 from QR175,832,050.96 Wednesday. Among the top losers were Qatar Islamic Bank whose share dropped 0.39% to QR77.30, Barwa real estate lost 1.01 to QR29.45, Electricity and Water fell 0.23% to QR132.50 and Doha Bank down 1.44% to QR54.70. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector dropped 0.10 points while the Insurance sector added 4.98 points. The Qatar industrial sector down 2.68 points and the Services sector gained 12.75 points.
