The Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Monday adding 17.17 points or 0.21% to 8,284.79 points from 8,267.62 Sunday. The volume of shares traded fell to 2,345,414 from 3,260,237 on Sunday and the value of shares down to QR103,233,132.85 from QR136,768,905.20 Sunday. Top gainers were Comm. Bank of Qatar which was up 0.92% to QR77.00, Qatar Islamic Bank by 0.38% to QR79.00, Barwa Real Estate by 0.35% to QR29.00, Electricity & Water up by 0.59% to QR136.00 and Intl. Islamic Bank by 1.35% to QR52.70. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector gained 37.64 while the Insurance sector up 17.29 points. The Qatar industrial sector lost 2.54 points and the Services sector added 8.34 points.
