The Qatar Exchange was in the green area Wednesday adding 81.64 points or 0.95% to 8,710.89 points from the previous closing of 8,629.25. The volume of shares traded was up to 10,253,593 from 7,673,854 on Tuesday and the value of shares was increased to QR398,837,208.14 from QR340,467,510.25 Tuesday. Top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 1.72% to QR147.50, Comm. Bank of Qatar rose 1.08% to QR84.50, Electricity & Water gained 1.77% to QR143.50 and Doha Bank up by 3.08% to QR67.00. Today the Qatar Banking and Financial sector up 153.54 while the Insurance sector lost 43.22 points. The Qatar industrial sector gained 123.42 points and the Services sector added 27.31 points.
