The Qatar Exchange was down on Wednesday and fell by 6.82 points or 0.08 % to 8,307.18 points from the previous closing of 8,314.00. The volume of shares traded was down to 5,629,211 from 5,639,397 on Tuesday and the value of shares fell to QR 124,507,551.79 from QR 157,293,914.27 Tuesday. Top gainers were Qatar Islamic Bank which was down 0.39% to 76.60, Al khalij Takaful rose 1.46% to QR 41.80, Gulf warehousing Co lost 1.94% to QR 42.00, Qatar Telecom falling 0.64% to 108.30 and Vodafone Qatar up 0.22% to QR 9.05. The Banking and Financial sector was down by 2.73 points while the Insurance sector lost 29.77 points. While the industrial sector gained 10.10 points and the Services sector added 10.79 points.
