Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Tuesday, adding 37.97 points (0.40%) to advance to 9,437.27 points from 9,399.30 on Monday. The volume of the shares traded up to 5,788,240 from 3,584,897 on Monday and the value of shares increased to QR 196,097,407.58 from QR141,787,991.61 Monday. Among the top gainers were Industries Qatar which was up 0.75% to QR162.20, Qatar Electricity and Water rose 2.65% to QR162.70, Qatar Telecom (Ooredoo) gained 1.20% to QR126.50 and Qatar Navigation up by 1.25% to QR72.90. The Banking and Financial sector index up 0.09 points while Insurance sector index down 0.16 points and Industrial sector rose 1.93 points.
